Literature Text

Cherubs bleed golden daffodils
"You can't lay with us" they whisper from the grave
The earth so cold, like mothers milk
A cradle of worms, tombstone pillow
The rain pitter patters on my door
But I can't answer
Come again another day
Little tears of roses
How pretty on my pillow they would be
But there's no room for me
No rest for the wicked
"You can't lay down" the lilies say
The wind dances and laughs
I want to play too
But work must be done
So says the daises
When will I get to sleep
Sunflowers bow their heads and yawn
Hateful words pouring out like sugar
Sweet as mud, bittersweet
"No rest for the wicked" the flowers say
So I'm stalling a lot right now. I could be doing something productive, but I'm not. Instead I decided to upload an old poem I had written some time ago. It's an odd one yes I know, I almost don't understand it. This was one of those things were I just started writing without thinking just to see where it lead, and it became this. Somehow I'm rather fond of it.

I'd lost all of my digital copies of my writing when I accidentally wiped my Bomb (flash drive, don't ask) clean. Luckily i still had a book of all of them, but it took me forever and a day to find said book. Rereading all of these though, I see how much of a child I was. : /

Funny though, I know less then half the DA population actually bothers to read these sort of things, I know I tend to over look the literature deviations sometimes. Awe well, it was still kinda fun.

Also, I had no idea what to submit this under.

Oh wow...I've never read this one before. Hell, I don't even think I've even heard you speak about it before. It's so interesting...I'm intrigued! I think that first line "Cherubs bleed golden daffodils" is like music...It flows and adds color to words in a way I never really thought was possible. And I think reiterating the line "No rest for the wicked" really makes this out like a song, with it's verse. And I hate to bring this in since it's such a serious poem...but it reminds me of when Buffy gets resurrected. XD Sorry, but it's true! Oh...and that line... "Sweet as Bud, Bittersweet" I don't know why, but I adore that line. It's...oh what's the word I'm looking for...contradictory? But not in the way I'm making that sound. This is a splendid poem, dear. Even as dark as it seems (and yes, I put the black background on, lol) it's still peaceful. Ah, sorry, I've gone into a babble as I so often do. Sorry I overlooked this...It's amazing. <3
